An Old Work in Progress!

Amy over at Calico Cat was showing her Blooming Nine Patch top and asked if anyone had made one. I have one in progress and really woud like to get it finished this year. I love this pattern and the construction is pretty easy (although tedious at times). Seeing her finished top makes me want to pull mine out and work on it now LOL

Did you make all of you 9 patches first? I think that was the best piece of advice that I ever got on this project.

I saw one of these at a UK quilt show all done in floral fabrics, with a kind of watercolour effect between each border, absolutely gorgeous. I've been wanting to make one ever since.

Lookin' good! I love you bloomin' 9-patch!

I made one last year and it was loads of fun. It still needs to be quilted though -- maybe in 2008!

It's gorgeous! I love this pattern. I don't know that I have the patience to deal with all the tiny pieces though.
