Quilty Weekend!!

Well I have been quite busy. I've quilted 2 of 3 surprise quilts for others (I'll post pictures when they are received). Yesterday I went up to Pennsylvania to sew with my Sundae Quilters Group. I finally got around to making my Sundae Quilter Tote Bag. I even used a twin needle for the first time to quilt the outside of the bag :)

Then when I got home I washed a baby quilt I made to give to some friends from work who just had a baby girl 3 weeks ago.

And since I didn't have a gift bag to put the quilt in, I whipped up a little tote bag for the quilt.

I also wanted to share my new lime green Tutto bag. I got it last week and used it this weekend.....It's just perfect!!

Book Recommendation

I love quilty mysteries and I read a great one last night. It's called "Wild Goose Chase" by Terri Thayer. The story takes place at a big quilt show and it's a murder mystery involving a rotary cutter. I started reading it and just could not put it down! Amazon has it for sale as well.

Enjoy!
PS - I have been quilting but I can't show you what I've been working on as the projects are super secret and I won't be able to show them until they are recieved :)

I am a Quilter....Believe it or Not!

Well it's been awhile since I've posted any quilty pictures. I just finished quilting this quilt for a customer. The quilt is 89" x 99" and took me 13 hours hours to quilt (according to my handy dandy timer). I love the way it turned out. The quilt is all batik on the top and backing. I used a verigated bright thread on the top and a verigated teal in the bobbin.

Enjoy!
