A Very Busy and Productive Weekend

Well I had quite the quilty weekend starting on Friday! I drove to Pennsylvania to sew with my Sundae Quilters bee and we had a ball! I managed to finish my Doll Quilt Swap top and I really love it. I sure hope my partner likes what I made :)

I also worked on my Blue & Tan Pineapple Blossom from Bonnie Hunter's Quiltville site and got all my blocks more than 1/2 finished. So that top will be finished very soon. The best part of this quilt is that I took all the fabrics from my stash, including the border fabric and I'll piece thebacking from stash so it will be a true stashbuster! This is going to be a housewarming gift for a friend.

On the way home from PA I stopped at a quilt shop and had the pleasure of meeting The Quilting Pirate for a few minutes. Since I dashed into the shop 5 minutes before closing we didn't really get a chance to talk much, but I did buy a few things and got to see the Doll Quilt she made for the swap! I'll tell you, whoever is lucky enough to get her quilt is gonna love it! It is just a really fun quilt and I fell in love with the colors :) I hope to get back to the shop soon so that we can visit longer :)

On Saturday I pulled a piece of pink fabric that was hiding in my stash and pieced it to back my Pink & Brown Turning Twenty Again quilt. Then I loaded it onto the machine and spent the rest of the weekend quilting it. I have finished the hanging sleeve and have the binding on. Just need to hand stitch the binding then it will be sent back to PA to hang in the Chambersburg Quilt Guild Show next weekend.

As soon as I finish the binding I'll post pictures of the finished quilt. This is the quilt that is featured on my blog header bar and I just love it!

Hope everyone else had a quilty weekend!

I LOVE those pinks and browns. I was at the LQS meeting friends from BC, who were heading home from Sisters. And I fondled that brown swirl and pink swirl and I did not buy any of it! I only bought fabric for projects I have going and planned. I want to WEAR those pinks and browns though.
