Finished a Top......

Well actually a backing, but it could be a quilt top LOL.

Here's my Disappearing Nine Patch top using charm packs from Moda's Sanctuary line. I will be using this as a backing for the embroidered quilt I pieced at my guild's Spring Retreat!! This busted 3 1/2 yards of fabric (even though they were charm packs) and even better, by piecing this backing I avoided buying backing fabric for this quilt!!!

I also got all of the centers pieced for my newest top as leader-enders while putting the D9P rows together......so I'm well on my way :) BTW, I have busted a jelly roll with that project (2 3/4 yards)

Very nice. Reading your and Darlene's blog finally got me thinking how I will use my jelly roll. I think mine is Sanctuary too.

Hi I'm on the Summer Stash Challenge too so I thought I'd pop in and introduce myself.

I love the way you've made a patchwork backing for your quilt- such a briliant idea. i'm new to crafting so I'm learning so much.

Best Wishes,
Melanie
