On (and Off) the Needles–December 14th

Sorry I missed checking in last Friday, early last week I slammed my pinky finger into my car truck and managed to break the finger which has laded me in a splint for 4-6 weeks.  But I won’t let that get me down….I have Christmas knitting to finish and by golly I will get it all done!!

So first…..off the needles since my last report…

I finished the Stripey Scarf and I just love it!

I also finished the Sloucy Tuva Hat that I started a couple weeks ago…

The I started and finished a pair of CafĂ© au Lait fingerless Mitts for a gift.  Love the yarn and the pattern.  The yarn is Blue Moon Fiber Arts Socks that Rock Mediumweight in a Rare Gems colorway….

Then I started another sockhead hat for a gift.  I’m more than halfway finished.  I feel like I can knit these in my sleep now LOL

And I started my cousin’s socks.  This is another pair of plain vanilla style socks using self striping Opal yarn.  Love this yarn!!

After these projects are finished I have another pair of socks to knit and 3 more hats.  Here’s looking at a lot of long nights knitting between now and the holidays!!

Hop on over to JudyL’s Blog to see what’s on everyone else’s needles….

Ouch - there should be a rule against hurting your finger just before Christmas when you have knitting to do! I like all your projects! I like sock knitting, but have not attempted toe-up... yet. Cheers! Evelyn

So sorry to hear you broke your finger! (I got my thumb caught in a friend's car door at the end of 2009 and the nail didn't grow back till April of 2010, just in time for DD's wedding.) Love that hat. Is it knit or crocheted? Great scarf, too! Lots of knitting going on these days everywhere.....
