Perks of my job!

Well this is how I spent my afternoon today. Everyone from my office went out to watch the start of the Great Chesapeake Bay Schooner Race. In case you don't know, my "real" job is chartering 2 74 foot sailing schooners on the Cheasapeake Bay. One of the boats competes (and often wins) this annual race down the Chesapeake Bay from Annapolis, MD to Portsmouth, VA.

Our boat, Schooner Woodwind gained the lead just after the start!!

And these are the bridges that I cross daily to get to work:

Cool, do you ever sail yourself?

I spent most of my childhood summers afloat in traditional wooden boats.

WOW!! What a fun job!! Although I don't think that I could cross those bridges every day. I have a out of control bridge phobia. SCARY!!!!!!!

Looks fun! I grew up in VA and love the Chesapeake Bay.

What beautiful photos Beth. You could easily use one of the top 2 in the triptych challenge on MQR. Or, if you dont want to join, you could let someone else use it!

Thanks for letting us see some of the "rest of your life".

Wonderful pictures Beth. Anyone who lives on the eastern seaboard of the US and Canada is indeed blessed, although I might not say so in winter!!! LOL.
